How periodic screenshots work in the desktop tracker
Learn how desktop tracker screenshots are taken, how to set the interval, and how client visibility works per time entry.
To provide proof of work for hourly clients, the Windows desktop tracker can take periodic screenshots while a timer is running.
Screenshot settings and visibility
- Interval: Set the Screenshot Capture Frequency in Settings > Company.
- Per session: Screenshots are taken only when Auto Screenshots is on for that timer session in the desktop tracker.
- Running timer only: No screenshots are taken while the timer is paused or stopped.
- Your time logs: You can review captured screenshots in your time logs.
- Client visibility: Each time entry has a Visible to Client option (on by default) that you can change when editing the entry in your time logs. There is no project-level setting.
Important NoteInvollo does not record keystrokes or webcam video. Only periodic desktop screen snapshots are captured.
